What is A182 F316L flange?
ASTM A182 F316L flanges are composed of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, molybdenum, nickel and nitrogen. The carbon content is limited to 0.03% of the total composition. Due to their low carbon content, 316L bolts, nuts and flanges are also suitable for welding. They avoid intergranular corrosion because they reduce carbide precipitation during the welding process.
